Money doesn’t solve everything… if it did, they wouldn’t be getting a divorce … lol… money makes life easier, and gives one the freedom to pursue their own will(in example their philanthropy work) but at the end of the day, bill couldn’t break the societal stereotypes/gender roles, and neither could Melinda… and even if they both ‘will be fine’ what about their children? Yes, they are privileged and will never have to suffer economical challenges… but having your parents get divorced creates a whole other level of problems… it’s not easy, but either way, no matter how much… or how little money an individual has … to be human, to be alive, to exist means to suffer… you cannot escape suffering because everyone we love and know will one day be.Exactly, you just have to find someone worth suffering for/with. I think they are really good for each other. Too bad they decided they want to move on without each other.
Even the "best" lives are filled with suffering, pain (physical/psychological) death. Between the banks of pleasure and pain, the river of life flows...Shame about all those nasty schadenfreude conspiracy theories. Envy and hatred and strong vices.
