看美剧学英语习语:Got a lot of nerve
本帖最后由 xiaobi2020 于 2020-7-6 00:14 编辑Got a lot ofnerve: To do something bold, daring, or impudent; To have the will to do something bold, daring, or impudent;(informal) behave in a way that other people think is rude or not appropriate. As in That intern has some nerve asking for a raise on her first day!
中文释义:nerve通常解释为"神经",但是有时它的意思是"勇气",在 got a lot of nerve这个习惯用语里,nerve不是"神经"或者"勇气",而是"鲁莽";got a lot of nerve就是厚颜无耻,厚脸皮的意思。通常用在争论中。还有一个习惯用语和这个说法意思一样,而且也常用在争吵的时候。它是: of all the nerve。Of all the nerve和 got a lot of nerve都可以用来说对方太莽撞甚至厚颜无耻。
