If one thing is out of line with another, the first thing is different from the second in a way that was not agreed, planned, or expected. If someone is out of line or way out of line, they have done or said something that they should not have done or said.
中文释义：Out，外面；line，线，界限；那么out of line很容易理解，就是超越了界限。Way这里是副词，通常用于口语中，表示“非常，大大地”。Way Out of line就是“实在太过分了”的意思。通常用在斥责某人说了过火的话/做了过火的事，例句：Check your attitude! You re way out of the line .（好好检讨下你的态度！你太过分了！）
