This phrase, which always precedes the statement of that very thing which need not be said, originated as “Needless to Speak” in the early sixteenth century.
中文释义：Needless to say除了有"不用说"的意思之外，也有of course / naturally（当然）的意思。另外，Needless to say 还有一个意思相近的表达：to say nothing of 表示“没有说的必要”。引申whatever you say 表示的是将会按照对方要求的去做，也可以用 Anything you say 来表示。
EG.01: Needless to say, it's difficult to do manual labor on an empty stomach. （不用说，空着肚子劳动是很难的。 ）
EG.02: Needless to say, we should fill up the gas tank before starting on our trip.（不用说，启程旅行之前应该要先将车子加满油。）
