本帖最后由 明月 于 2020-7-4 21:39 编辑May I cut in: To interrupt someone who is speaking; to interrupt two people who are dancing in order to dance with one of them. Cut in also means to move ahead of someone or something in line before it is one's turn.
中文释义：我能打个岔吗？与break in共同意思为break into a conversation。意思是打断话，插嘴；跳舞的时候May I cut in等同于Can I borrow sb for a moment/while?打断正在跳舞的两个人，以便与其中一人共舞。例句：May I cut in for a dance with this lovely lady?（我可以和这位可爱的女士跳支舞吗?）；另外cut in还有插队之意。例句：The guy from the back of the line totally just cut in!（排在队伍后面的那个家伙插了进来!）
