Used as a warning to look out for danger especially overhead or to clear a passageway; a warning that something is going to happen, usually so that you can prepare for it; If you give someone a heads-up about something that is going to happen, you tell them about it before it happens.
中文释义：Heads up的字面意思“头顶上”，那肯定是小心为妙，所以这个词组的意思是“小心、当心”，一般是关键时刻、急促情况下用来迅速提醒别人。例句：Heads up, boys! a train is coming.（孩子们，当心点，火车开过来了。）跟take care、be careful相比，heads up更显得口语化，且发音更高昂。另外，需要跟head up区别开来，head up是“领导，主管”的意思。另外，heads up也有“提前告诉、提前通知”的意思。例如：I want to give you a heads up,I will not work tomorrow.（我想提前告诉你我明天不工作。）
