中文释义： 这个短语的字面意思是指尝试把感到奇怪的事情弄明白；引申意是指"谁能想到呢？",用于你听到了让人吃惊的，惊奇的，说不通道理的事情。通常用于负面的表达，有时候是中性的。类似地说法有如下：Oh my god!;That's crazy!;That's ridiculous!;That doesn't make sense。通常还带有肢体语言，两手摊开。例句：The one time I get to the station on time, the train is delayed—go figure!（有一次我准时到达车站，火车却误点了——谁能想到呢!）
